BUNA BRIDGE

Buna Bridge is a bridge over the Buna River, near Shkodra, Albania. The bridge was built with the funds of the Ottoman government in 1889, thanks to the initiative of the Governor of Shkodra, Qazim Pasha, as well as his cooperation with the then Mayor, Bektash Kazazi. The bridge was designed by Turkish engineer Ali Bey.

The old Buna Bridge is a cultural monument of the second category, since 2010. In 2011, after the construction of the new Buna Bridge, only pedestrians are allowed on the old bridge.
